September 23-26, 2021
We are excited to see everyone who has registered this week - both in-person and virtual!
Please remember that walk-in registration will not be available this year, masks and vaccines are required!
This year's meeting has a theme: Empathy. The vast majority of us have a high risk individual in our lives - whether it be a 90-year old mother or an immune-compromised spouse or child. We therefore are asking all in-person attendees to wear masks while in the public areas of our facilities, whether you are in the hallway or the lecture hall or at the barn. As a profession, we advocate the value of preventative vaccination and it's therefore expected that those joining us in-person have been fully vaccinated. Proof of vaccination will be required for those attending labs where you will be working in close spaces with other attendees.
We will be following all Maine CDC guidelines. The lecture halls have new hospital-grade air filters installed and seating has been spread out to allow for some physical distancing. The number of in-person attendees is limited, so register early!
As we cannot safely permit standing in the lecture halls, you will be asked during registration to choose the specific lectures you will attend. Unfortunately, you will not be able to change sessions on site.
We truly hope that if you chose not join us in-person, that you will join us live online. You will be able to ask questions of the lecturer in real time through the Attendee Hub chat feature.
Your willingness to join us any way you can will help us keep this special meeting alive. I hope that at next year we can expand our in-person attendence to pre-pandemic numbers.
Thank you for being so very supportive and understanding. We look forward to your being part of NEVMA 2021!
