The New England Veterinary Conference is not RACE-approved. Credits are accepted by all six New England states automatically and we are a registered provider of CE for the state of New York. In most other states, NEVC is accepted as a regional VMA continuing education provider, but please check with your state to make sure there aren't forms that need to be completed before you attend.
Yes, registration is open to all veterinary professionals. You should check with your state about credit approval, as some states require a form completed in advance.
No, there is no onsite registration available this year.
Attendees pick up their name badges and any event tickets at the conference registration table at the Holiday Inn by the Bay. Your CE certificate will be available to print post conference - a link will be emailed to you the week after the conference.
In addition to CE credits based on the number of days you are registered for, registration includes:
Yes, we have arranged a room on the second floor of the hotel for use by nursing/pumping mothers. The key will be kept at the conference registration desk and must be returned there between uses.
No, the conference does not offer on-site childcare.
There is an additional fee for each lab/social event. Please note that for these programs, participation is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis; as such, we advise you to sign up as early as possible. We reserve the right to limit lab registrations to two per practice. Through the end of August, labs are reserved for attendees of at least one additional lecture day.
If a lab does not meet its minimum enrollment, the lab may be cancelled. If a lab you are registered for is cancelled, you will be notified and the registration fees refunded.
Veterinary technicians and office staff may attend all educational sessions, except for those labs specifically designated for DVMs only, recognizing that these sessions reflect a veterinarian's graduate school training and background.
If circumstances prevent you from attending the Conference, NEVMA will refund your registration fees less a $25 administrative fee, provided you cancel by 6 pm on the day prior to the start of your registration. No refunds will be granted for no shows. No refunds will be given for labs or entertainment events (unless someone takes your place). Refund requests may be delivered to NEVMA via mail or e-mail (not by phone.)
If you are no longer able to attend, your registration fees may be applied to another individual. Switching attendees is not available for labs/lectures with a waiting list. Please send us an email to arrange the credit to make sure the correct person is registered for the conference and is eligible for credits.
Each day of lecture is worth a total of 6 hours of continuing education. There are a different number of credits offered for each wet lab or special program; please see the description of the session you are interested in for more details.
Through the end of August, labs are reserved for people attending at least one lecture day in addition to their lab. Starting September 1, labs are open for stand alone registration.
The notes will be available online through the attendee hub starting the Monday before the conference. Registered attendees will be notified by email when they are available and how to access them.
Attire for the NEVC is business casual. We recommend dressing in layers, as hotel meeting rooms can vary widely in temperature. For labs, you may want to wear a scrub top.
In keeping with Holiday Inn rules, only service dogs are permitted.
Attendees who need special assistance or services are asked to notify the NEVMA office no later than August 27, 2024 and provide a written description of how we may accommodate you.
We will contact you to confirm that your request has been received and go over any additional information needed. However, if you do not receive confirmation from NEVMA by September 15, please contact us by e-mail or by calling 800.297.1749.
